"When Organization make love with cleanliness in the womb of punctuality, it gives birth to a baby called Discipline" Quote from "3 Advices to be a Disciplined person conference" from Yokoi Kenji
For everyone who isn't what the world expected you to be: thank you. Thank you for your courage and your voices and your perseverance and for sharing your experiences and unique ideas with the world. While the struggle can be overbearing at times, that you still continue and maintain positivity in spite of it all is such an inspiration to those of us not as far in the journey and watching from behind.
Thanks. 💛
I keep talking to people in tech about anxiety over projects and getting everything right, or knowing everything. So many people burn out because we want to be perfect. I've written about my experiences with perfectionism & learning to be kind to myself. https://medium.com/samsung-internet-dev/perfectionism-anxiety-and-learning-to-be-kind-to-yourself-e3c23710704
hey @bing@twitter.com @MSEdgeDev@twitter.com , it would be useful if you take your data from MDN instead of W3Schools... just sayin'.
@balrogboogie The Rust team asked people to write article reflecting on #Rust in 2017
"Starting today and running until the end of January we’d like to ask the community to write blogposts reflecting on Rust in 2017 and proposing goals and directions for Rust in 2018. "

I was thinking about how technology changed our life to worse or good and curiously I remembered a old song of Jamiroquai and it's like he predicted about how the technolgy would afecct us. It's a #Virtual #Insanity!

Is your institution a W3C member? Do you like decentralised social networks? You probably do since you're reading this on Mastodon. Ask your AC rep to vote on ActivityPub today! (or, before the 16th of Jan). If your instance is up to date, you're probably using this standard right now. It would be a shame if it didn't become an official W3C Recommendation.

Folks!, it's time to bet for open hardware and free hardware. We need manufacturers that follow open standarts and specification where you can implement specific solutions. We must plead that kind of solution and support project that defends our freedom like #Risc-V, #fairphone, #librem5 and so on. Let's shouy our resolution and demand of #openhardware and #freehardware to manufacturers.
I'm not that great at #introductions but here goes.
I'm Emily. I really enjoy Star Trek, particularly TNG, Voyager, and DS9. I play too many video games, mostly on PC. I like programming, but I'm not terribly good at it.
Privacy is important to me, and I want to see a project like Mastodon succeed because Diaspora seems to have been taken over by spammers, bots, and bigoted libertarians.
I'm also trans, lesbian, and not a minor.
New to #mastodon (finally!). Spanish feminist geek living in Madrid. FOSS advocate and fantasy and sci-fi lover. Traditional archery is my passion (https://blog.aljaba.net/ is my Spanish blog on the subject). Publishing and playing RPGs (not for a living). Arch & Debian Linux enthusiast as well as Python coder.

I thought crossed my mind... If the world processors lose about 30% of their processing power. That means that flat web design without an excesive layer of effects or that kind stuff will coma back and with the net neutrality going down means that can be factible option to people with slow internet connections .
I wonder If you can put more emojis like telegram on mastodon. That would be Interesting!
Well, I am being begged for “my opinion” on the “30% slowdown bug”… except that I have no info except what everyone is speculating about!
My current thoughts:
1) I hope they haven’t blown one out of my private stash,
2) I’ve been ranting about Intel processors for so many years now that I get to say “told you so!”
Ulterior thoughts:
i) if you really think this is the only surprise in store then you are naive,
ii) Intel will not die, not for this.
Next week I’ll have more time to discuss :)
It beganthe new year and though it's January 2nd, this Image describe how I feel!
