Still getting the lay of the land. This is my third time signing up for a mastodon instance and I never made it past that. I think we need some kind of a term for those of us that are pulling the ejector seat on big tech/social media. I'm self-hosting a blog and exploring stuff like this. I don't know if mastodon is the answer... feels a bit too siloed. Maybe distributed apps can play a role? Whatever it is it's going to be a fun few years of trying stuff. Makes the web feel new again!
