Also been hanging around in http://micro.blog.
I kinda like that it's just a blog that I can edit (hello typos!) and also put HTML in.
Also it's on my domain! http://micro.jagtalon.com

Pretty happy about today’s training. Around 3 months ago I wouldn’t have thought I could bench to almost my body weight (I’m 175lbs).
I’ve been stuck at 135lbs, but now I can do 1x3 at 160lbs! It took 3 months of focused work (thanks to my coach) but finally got out of the plateau.
"Native-Like Animations for Page Transitions on the Web" https://css-tricks.com/native-like-animations-for-page-transitions-on-the-web/
This is a really neat effect by my colleague Sarah Drasner, but a bit of a shame it looks odd in Firefox (the black footer seems to flash briefly). Works seamlessly in Chrome, Edge, and Safari.
Was watching Aggretsuko with sisters. This death metal red panda show is p entertaining.
I'm playing around with a more useful podcast website. Added things like:
✨ Featuring the trailer at the top ✨ A way to sort between oldest and newest
✨ Show notes (currently we just link to Simplecast)
This is the first draft, but I'm digging it.
@jag kinda enjoying breaker now. What are you listening to this weekend?
Listening to http://www.noyougoshow.com/podcast/ep-10/ from @noyougoshow@twitter.con @leahculver@twitter.com, and this is pretty much spot on for me 🙌🏽
“I don’t know that I can actually do this. But I did! I just built it and everything I didn’t know how to do, I looked up on the internet or asked someone else for help.”
Kinda like an ad but not really Show more
It takes a while to update, but Friends Talk Frontend is now on Spotify! 🙈
https://open.spotify.com/show/4e4y5yx0fLvJ3ffl2rC3sm?si=ANIN8SdaS_WSAD_X5DneEg
Anyway, give it a listen! You can find us on iTunes, Overcast, Pocket Casts, Google Play, and more recently Spotify.
Happy listening! 🤘🏽
Of course, we don't just talk about tech. We also talk about comic books like:
👉🏽 Drow Tales http://www.drowtales.com/
👉🏽 Elf Quest http://elfquest.com/
👉🏽 Saga: https://imagecomics.com/comics/series/saga
And of course, the intersection of tech and comics which Lin Clark has masterfully done in her blog posts in:
🎈 Code Cartoons: https://code-cartoons.com/
🎈 Mozilla Hacks: https://hacks.mozilla.org/author/lclarkmozilla-com/
Rachel is all about animations—hell she even wrote a book about it!
Take a look at https://abookapart.com/products/animation-at-work from the fine folks at A Book Apart if you'd like to know how you can make better experiences using animations.
Pro tip: Use FRIENDSTALKFRONTEND to get 10% off from the book! 🙌🏽
She was talking about the orange roughy in that first part and how red colors benefit sea creatures in the depths of the ocean.
If you have Firefox and would like to learn about sea creatures and CSS animations, check out http://devtoolschallenger.com/
She made this! 🐟
We were out for a bit, but now we're back with a new episode! Here we interview @rachelnabors in Seattle.
I really enjoyed interviewing her because the breadth of knowledge that she has in tech is incredible. Don't miss out on this one!

I feel like this book was made for me.
It assumes that you have very little confidence in your writing (me 🙋🏽♂️) and that you’re writing content for people.
I’m reading “Men Explain Things To Me,” and I’m really enjoying the lack of self-awareness of some people
This is such a cool resource for finding ways to take care of yourself: http://selfcare.tech/
This is where I found http://750words.com/ and it's been a game changer for my morning routine.
