Studying #CompSci in the #UK - mostly #java / #javascript / #python.
Did a little messing around with #RSS feeds and I've really fell in love with them, and I'm so happy #Mozilla #Thunderbird has an in-built RSS reader.
And now for the worst part of report writing, proofreading!
I'd love to get involved in contributing to open source more, but all the projects I end up finding tend to be really large and intimidating or the interesting projects are in a language I hardly understand.
Any tips for starting out?

This is either going to go very well, or I'm going to wake up in a foul mood tomorrow AND have to solve a math problem before my alarm turns off.
The change to BST/Daylight Savings mixed with a public holiday in the space of two weeks has managed to completely obliterate my sleeping pattern, just after I'd spent months fixing it!
With the #deletefacebook / anti-birdsite movement seemingly picking up speed, I have a few questions:
* How has it affected your social life?
* Did you manage to keep in contact with people far-away that you only spoke to occasionally?
* How did your relationship with social media / media as a whole change.
* How did your 'free time' change? Were you more productive or did you procrastinate elsewhere?

Been on various instances of Mastodon for a week now, and I'm overwhelmed by the friendliness of the community.

Bloody hell, it's nearly 13:00. Who knew losing an hour for BST would wreck my body-clock so much. It's not like it happens every year or anything...
It sure is going to take a while to get used to Mastadon.
