OK, all you instance admins, this might be the beginning of a new wave of users coming onto the network.

@marcozehe well shit. I should've left twitter earlier (left december 2017)

@marcozehe Ugh, really? Do none of these companies have any integrity?

@marcozehe Thanks guys. Gracias chicos. "Twitter también vendió datos a Cambridge Analytica"

@Maya
@marcozehe parece que vendió datos a otra compañía. El texto confunde pues habla de una nueva versión del caso CA.

@Maya
Ahora que van a hacer los parvos que se fueron de fb a twitter?

😂 vaya, en cuanto a privacidad son lo mismo... pobres porque no lo entienden 😂

@maperal @abdhessuk @marcozehe Lo mismo. Cambiarse a otra plataforma que los espía pues no se toman el tiempo de investigar qué opciones libres hay. De hecho, dudo que conozcan siquiera la palabra "libre" en este contexto.

@Maya @maperal @abdhessuk @marcozehe

Creo que tenemos la obligación de difundir más la forma de reclamar nuestra libertad de expresión a través de las redes y medios de comunicación libres!!!

It would be amazing but, "normal" people actually don't care about their privacy 😣

@marcozehe Marco! You're on Mastodon? I joined when a friend set up an instance, and he just boosted your post (about Twitter and Cambridge Analytica).

@marcozehe Meh, they didn't collapse when they forced everyone to follow Donald Trump, this won't kill 'em either.

@marcozehe Good! Maybe I can double my user count from 3 to 6.

>twitter sells data to anyone
<nobody moves
>twitter sells data to Cambridge Analytica
<the real shit

@marcozehe In other news, water is wet. You can't expect a company to keep data private if there's money to be made from selling it. Captialism.

@marcozehe
The question is if the current instances are going to be able to support the traffic increase.

@marcozehe I’m less concerned, unless it was profile data — not the Twitter feed stuff like tweets, likes and retweets. And this is why I’m a fan of Twitter and Mastodon, there are no murky privacy settings (eg. “Friends of friends”)

@marcozehe Too bad that all this talk of #deletefacebook did not result in a corresponding rise in the number of #diaspora users.
