This would be an interesting business maneuver, but I dunno that the Google Home ecosystem is mature enough yet to get people to latch onto it at a rate that would make this program a success. You want usage to be extremely "sticky" so you can be sure that your ROI on each giveaway is higher than the cost, which is probably in the neighborhood of $25/speaker.

Why is the Google Contact system so weird about your own contact details? It never seems to sync info I put in about myself. Sometimes I want to share my vCard with people and I have to type out all my info again and again. Other times I send myself texts or emails from my work accounts and my apps don't pick up that the phone number is actually already attached to a phone contact: ME! 😡
