TIL: If you store a regex object literal with a g flag, you can not reuse it!

Question: When building a / , and using a framework. Which one do you use, and (more importantly) why do you use a framework?

I am investigating what it is exactly that a framework offers over plan .

The reason for this research? A framework (:react:, :vue:, :angular:, whatever) comes with a big vendor lock-in, and it's really easy to make an app that is not accessible.
I want to find an alternative (I have yet to investigate WebComponents as I only skimmed it).
