TIL: If you store a regex object literal with a g flag, you can not reuse it!

MDN states: If your regular expression uses the "g" flag, you can use the exec() method multiple times to find successive matches in the same string.

Question: When building a #WebApp / #SPA, and using a #js framework. Which one do you use, and (more importantly) why do you use a framework?

I am investigating what it is exactly that a framework offers over plan #javascript.

The reason for this research? A framework (, , , whatever) comes with a big vendor lock-in, and it's really easy to make an app that is not accessible.
I want to find an alternative (I have yet to investigate WebComponents as I only skimmed it).
