Today ends a day where I was way too excited in front of too many people.

Really though if this was a year from now a lot of projects would be so heavily into actions they’d have a problem leaving. As of now @gitlab@twitter.com still had some pretty good feature parity.

Man I’m gonna be mad if @github@twitter.com doesn’t drop ICE. I was enjoying actions.

Fun fact my dad had his first job renting units here. He used to take them over to the building in a cab and have the cab drive them inside and up to their floor.

I tweeted about it last night, def worth clicking the 2nd link. Lots of awesome photos.

I work in the The Starrett-Lehigh Building which according to this is slightly bigger by square foot than the Empire State Building cornerbycorner.wordpress.com/2

Why yes! It’s the slowly renovating Starrett Lehigh building!

But I’m at my stop. (See those strange curved edges in the back there)

My favorite part are the near by tenants who think it’s fantastic they have an audience. I do wish I was going further south.

The further south the stranger it gets. At one point you’re sure you’re walking past the Tim Burton’s Batman set.

A converted abandoned rail line is now a park that goes north/south on the west side. They’re about 90% done and Little Du- the Hudson Yards has decided to take over the north end.

Across the street is a welcoming statue of Jesus who probably didn’t have massive data center equipment in mind when he made the offer.

It lumbers over everything around it like a data center storage device. Complete with fiber ports on the side.
