My favourite playlist at the moment is "Synthwave, Dark Synthwave and Dreamwave":
https://soundcloud.com/killerkabob/sets/synthwave-1 It's a bit 80s, a bit Blade Runner era Vangelis, and a lot cool. Maybe someone else will like it too. ☺
since i'm sharing stuff i work on today, i'll share a project some of you might find helpful.
for anyone looking for self-care resources, i run http://selfcare.tech/.
it's a nice little directory of links for all kinds of self-care resources. open to pull requests (if you've never contributed to open source, this is a way to get involved without being a programmer!) and you don't have to be a techie to make use of the links. 💙

On the plus side, I'm finally reading the last book of William Gibson's Blue Ant trilogy (Zero History), and it's brilliant.
Today I gave a presentation at work on Progressive Web Apps. I was so nervous and I'm sure it came through - I let the material down with a poor delivery. Rationally I know I just need practice and it's good that I tried. But emotionally... ugh.
@rhianvanesch @zachleat That last preso is so good. Reminds me of Maciej Ceglowski: http://idlewords.com/talks/build_a_better_monster.htm
Some Sunday reading that I've enjoyed today. 1. Troy Hunt on some really, really bad web security fails: https://www.troyhunt.com/reckon-youve-seen-some-stupid-security-things-here-hold-my-beer/ 2. Slides and text from a talk by @zachleat titled "What are you excited about?" (web-related): https://www.zachleat.com/web/1m-cups-omaha/
All right, lets do an #introduction!
My name is Peter Goes. A #front-end dev at De Voorhoede.
Main interests / work daily with:
#javascript, #js, #html #css in all flavours
I strongly believe in an inclusive, open and performing web so #a11y, #perf and open standards are really important!
Besides work, I like to tinker with a #RaspberryPi, some #processing (or #p5js) and #openFrameworks
I haven't baked for ages, but this weekend I made a pistachio cake. Green, but good. https://toot.cafe/media/6u3K4iiNsD31lWYoBEE

I like Chris Coyier's take on "When does a project need React?" (or another JS framework). Seems pretty sensible. https://css-tricks.com/project-need-react/
tfw you simultaneously feel like you know what you're doing and also feel like a total n00b.
otherwise known as: just a normal day writing code.
I've been using Visual Studio Code recently (it's great), but improved startup time for Atom definitely piques my interest: http://blog.atom.io/2017/04/18/improving-startup-time.html
It's been a day of feeling slightly stupid while working with Angular. This thread on the birdsite helped me not feel quite so bad about being stupid: https://twitter.com/tylermcginnis33/status/854080450637254660 Just keep swimming. 🐟
Hi Tooters!
I am a software developer/sysadmin/gamer/blogger & owner of juanwolf.fr.
I just moved to London recently (I was in Paris before #berk) and I love new tech, animes (I just finished Cowboy Bebop, it's awesome), video games (RocketLeague, Overwatch & Hollow Knight at the moment), sport & FOOD.
I love the social aspect of Mastodon, so don't hesitate to toot me!
Using the #Vuejs Devtools: https://alligator.io/vuejs/vue-devtools/
Currently can't get enough of the new FRKTL album. Good ambient music for when I'm trying to concentrate but also rewards close listening: https://frktl.bandcamp.com/album/prose-edda #music
Why is this not the official image of Mastodon yet
Psst
hey, hey you.
You're great and deserve to have a good night/day
