Perused the magazine section at a bookstore the other day and DANG all the print is super tiny! And those line heights…*shudder*.
My own stuff this year has been emotionally/mentally draining and it feels real bad to have low reserves for meeting the crises of my country.
Reinstating a goal of at least one action item per week. I can’t save the world all by myself but I know I can figure out how to rework things and make sure I’m doing SOMETHING again.
Of all the apps on my various devices, Words with Friends is the neediest. So much transparent grabs for my attention.

3b. Marius and Cosette’s happiness is only notable in that an unremarkably happy life validates the suffering and sacrifice of those who came before them. Aaaaand that’s kind of the whole point of Les Mis, making brave, difficult choices for the collective good. The faith that your choices hold meaning, even if things don’t improve for you personally.
