After investing so much time in building and refining this feature, it was painful to nix it, but it was necessary.
We let the "coolness" of having an editor built in to the browser cloud our judgment and we ended up misjudging how much work it would require to build, and more importantly how much utility it would afford over existing editors. (spoiler alert, none)
