Artsy (like events at arts venues, not the website) events are a great place for seeing stylish people. Lots of amazing footwear and one pair of metallic leopard print leggings.

Glad I came. Got to see Marie Daulne, aka Zap Mama. Waiting for Jean Grae yo l to begin her set.

The funny part is that I don't actually want to go anymore, but I already bought tickets, and don't want to waste that money so 🤷🏽‍♀️

I hate to shop though, so I I'll need someone else to create this wardrobe for me. 😆

Usually I don't care about such things. But on days like today, I wish I had a more fashionable wardrobe.

Going out tonight to an event that will draw lots of people wearing LEWKS* and feeling self conscious about the fact that I won't be.

(*LEWKS, aka "looks," or very good sartorial choices.)

I will, however, throw more money at organizations doing immigration work. That's easy, but also effective.

I guess protesting is what's going to go.

Can I protest, finish a chapter, attend a concert, create a wireframe for a client, finish a new feature and attend a basketball game while getting as much sleep as I need to between now and Monday?

Probably not, but let's try it!

Sometimes you gotta let the client think it through before arriving at the solution you were suggesting in the first place.

I'M SO RELIEVED

In other news, I've learned that I am not, in fact, losing my brain function. I was legit worried that I had somehow salted my coffee without remembering.

So this morning he made my coffee for me in the French Press.

He saw a pot of water in the stove that he knew was for pasta and might be heavily salted and decided that it would be a good idea to use that water for my coffee.

It was not.

He knows that I know how to cook pasta and SHOULD know that I always salt the cooking water like Mario "Grabby Hands" Battali said to: until it tastes like sea water.

Last night before the Sparks game I started to boo some water for pasta so they I could eat beforehand we left.

Then I realized that we didn't have enough time, so I turned off the pot but left it on the stove.

My husband knew that I was making pasta. We've watched enough cooking shows to know that if you aren't salting the cooking water by the fistful then you're doing it wrong.
