Just read a blog post that summarizes my feelings about . I'm tired of seeing the posts about how bad it is, how devs who build with electron are the worst, etc.

It's a memory hog but solves a problem. It's easy to get started with and it's easy to convert an existing webapp to a desktop app.

And complaints about "it doesn't look native enough" never made sense to me. That's something only techies are actually worried about.

@zack Electrino could solve most of the common complaints (at least on Window and macOS), but it is a huge undertaking and development seems to have stopped.

@sorin That's a bummer. I wonder why it didn't get much uptake? If it could solve the biggest complaint against electron, I would assume it would blow up.

One of the suggestions in the article I linked was replace parts of Electron with . How well do you think that would work?

@zack Would love to see that, though to make it compelling for developers they would need to re-implement (or re-use?) the developer tools.
